Liverpool and Crystal Palace played out a goalless draw in their Premier League match on Saturday. Liverpool had hoped to bounce back from a heavy defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League earlier in the week, but struggled to find their rhythm and were described as “fragile” by pundit Jamie Redknapp.
Liverpool had several chances to score, with Diogo Jota hitting the crossbar in the first half and Mohamed Salah doing the same soon after the break.
Crystal Palace also hit the woodwork, with Jean-Philippe Mateta’s shot rebounding off the post.
Despite not registering a shot on target, Crystal Palace put in a strong performance and came close to scoring through Marc Guehi and Michael Olise. However, neither team was able to find the back of the net and the game ended in a draw.
Liverpool’s point sees them move up to seventh in the Premier League table, but they are still six points behind the top four. Crystal Palace remain in 12th place and have now drawn their last three league games.
